1. Highlight the Column with Names to Be Converted

In our example, we have a list of names from cell A2 to A6 in an Excel spreadsheet and a column for their corresponding email addresses. We want to convert these names into email addresses.

To start the email conversion process, click on the column header that contains the names you want to convert.

2. Enter the CONCATENATE Formula to Combine Names with an Email Domain

In the email addresses column, type =CONCATENATE(A2,”@example.com”) in the top cell, replacing ‘A2’ with the cell that corresponds to the first name on your list.

Drag the fill handle down to replicate this formula for all names.

3. Convert Formulas in the Email Column to Static Text

After your email addresses are generated, copy the entire column where your formulas are.

Right-click and select ‘Paste Special.’

Choose ‘Values’ to change the formulas into static text. Then, click ‘OK’ to apply.

We will now see that our dynamic email addresses have been converted to static, usable email formats.
