1. Select the Cell Where You Plan to Add the Lambda Symbol

2. Open the Symbol Dialog Box from the Insert Tab

3. Insert the Lambda Symbol Into Your Selected Cell

We will use the character code to find the lambda symbol quickly. Type 03BB (the character code for lambda) into the ‘Character code‘ box and click ‘Insert’. 

After inserting, we can close the Symbol dialog box by clicking ‘Close’. 

We will now see that our selected cell A1 contains the lambda symbol.
